Whenever I started with this class I never really thought of myself as an entrepreneur although I have known many entrepreneurs growing up. I think what will stick with me the most is the venture concept that I came up with, because I really am passionate about my app. Knowing that I have the ability and creativity to come up with something that could possibly be real some day is so amazing.
Do you see yourself as an entrepreneur? Do you think you have moved closer to developing an entrepreneurial mindset?
I am surprised to say that I do see myself as an entrepreneur! It amazed me that I was able to come up with my concept, and I feel that the class really made me passionate about my idea. There is definitely something about knowing you have built a whole business idea from the ground up that is extremely gratifying, and I'm honestly so happy that I chose to enroll for this class for Spring 2019.
What is the one recommendation you would make to the students who are going to journey down this path in the future?
Keep up with assignments! Look at everything that is due for the week on Monday, not Friday! If you put in work to this class you will reap the benefits and truly come out with something amazing at the end of the semester.
Hello Arielle, I think that is awesome advice. Many times I have considered not doing one of the assignments but I am reminded of how much baggage each assignment holds. Every point is important and I am proud to not have have missed one. I agree doing this blog made me realize that my dream of become an entrepreneur is achievable. Anyone can do it if you have hard work and passion. I love the image you picked because as long as you are mentally strong and determined nothing can get in the way of an entrepreneur. I enjoyed seeing your business concept and how it progressed during the semester. Best of luck on your future endeavors.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your post and think you gave some good advice for students in the future. Each assignment shouldn’t be taken for granted because it is worth a decent portion of the grade in the end and that can add up to hurt you. I agree that doing the assignments and immersing yourself in them will give you a great deal of value from this class.

ReplyDeleteI agree that the venture concept that I came up with will stick with me. I am very passionate about everything it stands for, so it truly was a formative experience. I am so happy that you consider yourself an entrepreneur! That says a lot about this class. While I do not yet fully consider myself to be an entrepreneur, I do believe that this class has helped me develop an entrepreneurial mindset as I look for opportunities in my daily life.
